About This Project
The NHS in Plymouth went out to a Europe wide tender for the provision of solar panels to the trust. The project was the installation of 75Kw of solar panels over 10 sites. Ranging in size from 20Kw to 4Kw. The buildings were also very different. The cumberland centre is a 5 storey building with a slate roof, plymstock a steel profile roof and Riverview a flat roof system.
How We Did It
We went about this installation the same way we do all of our work independent of size. We carried out a full survey on the properties both electrical and structural. The electrical survey showed up that some major electrical work was also required due to the power of some of the systems. Eco Concepts engineers also carried out this work. We then carried out full solar modeling design of all of the systems that the NHS required. During this process we highlighted how we would change the designs to maximise the Trusts’s return on investment. We were successful in winning the tender and were asked to complete all the works in only 3 weeks. This we managed to do on time and on budget. Keith Howton electrical and facilities manager described the project as “The most ambitious and largest project we have undertaken this year which has been the most professionally carried out without any difficulties” Eco Concepts carryout installations large and small but always bring the same level of professionalism to every installation.
All the NHS projects can bee seen on our TV channel which shows videos of the installations being installed.
